The inaugural meeting of the nuclear security branch of the Chinese nuclear society and the first meeting of the first council was successfully held in Nanhua University, Hengyang city, Hunan province. Wang Shoujun, the chairman of the Chinese nuclear society, Yu Jianfu, the secretary-general of the Chinese nuclear society, and relevant leaders of the state administration of science, technology and industry for national defense and the ministry of public security attended the meeting. About 200 leaders, representatives and experts attended the meeting.The meeting read out the reply of the Chinese nuclear society on agreeing to convene the inaugural meeting of the nuclear security sub-committee of the Chinese nuclear society and the first meeting of the first council, and summarized the preparatory work of the sub-committee.
The general assembly elected the first council, the standing council and the chairman, vice chairman and secretary-general of the nuclear security sub-council. The 93 experts and scholars from 121 units was elected to the council.Deng Ge, the director of the national nuclear security technology center, was elected the first council director. National center for nuclear security technology Zhimin Yang, China nuclear industry group's general office Huaping Li, China Guangdong nuclear power co., LTD., Dajin Jiang, Reach (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd Wenzhu Tian etc. eight comrades was elected the vice president. National nuclear security technology center Guohai Zhao was elected the secretary general.The branch secretariat is attached to the national nuclear security technology center.
