Qingdao Metro Line 4 is the east-west backbone of the main urban area, connecting the southern district, the northern district and the Laoshan District district, from East to West, the central part of the city is connected with the Old City, the new East district and the Sha Zikou of the Mount Lao district.
The total length of the line is about 30.7km, all underground lines, with a total of 25 stations. A total of 12 stations transfer with other 8 rail transit lines, with an average distance of 1258m. The whole line is equipped with a rolling stock depot and a comprehensive base, located on the southern side of Mount Lao road and the Western side of Yushui road at the eastern end of the line, and 35kV opening and closing stations are set up at Anshan Road and Zhangcun village respectively. The control center is shared with Line 2, 5 and 11, located in the vehicle base of East Liaoyang Road of Line 2.
Qingdao Metro Line 4 is expected to open in December 2022.
