Shenyang Metro Line 2 is the second line in Shenyang urban rail transit system and the second underground rail to carry passengers in northeast China after Shenyang Metro Line 1.
Shenyang Metro line 2 South Extension project in the north starts from the Quanyun Road Station, the end of the first phase, and ends at Taoxian airport in the south. The main routes are Gaoshen East road and Zhihui 3rd Street. The total length of the line is 13.7 km. There are seven stations which are Shenbendajie station, Shenzhongdajie Station, provincial museum station, Central Park Station Station, Chuangxin Road Station, Comprehensive Bonded Zone Station and Taoxian airport station, and the Central Park Station is the transfer station for the South Section of line 10,with one parking lot and one main substation.
Shenyang Metro line 2 South Extension project is scheduled for trial operation on June 15, 2023, and initial operation before September 30.
